Well it seems like Jack Frost has been hitting the entire country but us, but I am totally fine with using my imagination. I have enjoyed leaving my house in a t-shirt and barbeque-ing in the backyard over negative degree forecasts and shoveling snow. There is just something about this season though, that makes me crave warm blankets and fires…and cuddling, of course.

I am glad that Matt and Heather felt the same way and got cozy by the fire (or by the Fireball whiskey) for my camera. Heather is one of my favorite people that I’ve met in Georgia. She and I share a love of photography and having a good time and since her husband Matt got back from his latest deployment, they have become staples in mine and Tony’s lives. So you know a photo shoot was bound to happen when we came up with this perfect location and a million ideas. Lucky for our significant others, right?
Well when I wasn’t in their face with my camera, she was in mine capturing some moments for me…and then there were some drinks and guns for the guys in between. I’m not sure it’s possible for a photo shoot to be MORE FUN.
In just 2 weeks time, we will all be separated, staying warm by another fire and celebrating the holidays with our families. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, but I am so thankful for friends who have become family when I can’t be near mine.
I hope these memories keep me warm as I head to Wisconsin with Tony for Christmas. They have had piles of snow and below freezing weather for weeks now. Not my idea of a good time! Good thing there’s plenty of love waiting there to receive us. I hope you feel the love this holiday season and it keeps you warm all winter!
