My favorite thing about little towns (and big ones) is the heart of the city, or as most refer to it, downtown. Of course, it alway reminds me of Petula Clark’s “Downtown” song and I can’t help but hum it as I click away during a shoot. Call me crazy, (not like it’s the first time I’ve heard it) but I agree that there’s “no finer place, for sure”!

There are many differences between downtown in a city, and downtown in a place like Hinesville, but you can be sure to find lots of bright walls, and ample backgrounds that make for a great set to any shoot.

My favorite part about Hinesville’s downtown area is a little park right off of South Main that has a cute white gazebo as well as so many fresh blooms this time of year. It was my first choice for our session and the Knight’s were more than happy to meet me here.

We had perfect weather and I can’t complain a bit about the perfect 1 year old as well! Not very often that that happens! He was such a doll and so easy to work with. What a well behaved kid! These pictures were in celebration for his first birthday and although he’s not walking yet, we walked all over South Main as he rode along in his stroller (or had some help from mom and dad)!

I’m so glad that it’s finally Spring and I am able to get out and enjoy the gorgeous weather. Unfortunately we have had rain all week and I’m headed to Houston for the weekend hoping to get away from it…only it’s forecasted there as well. April showers bring May flowers, right? So what does it mean if it’s March and there are flowers, and it’s raining. So confused. I’ll leave it at that!

Easter is coming quickly and I will be doing some mini sessions so keep checking in for special prices on those!
