So the last week has completely flown by. Which is good…because down time is sad time and I refuse.

I have kept myself busy each and every day! Last night however, I realized I might be making myself sick being outside in the cool weather so much and my throat is starting to hurt so I pretty much went into hibernation mode this afternoon. It was beneficial though, because I got some editing done!

You know how sometimes you know you are going to be friends with someone before you even meet them? Chanell was totally one of those people for me. We have been planning to have a fun inspiration shoot for a few weeks now and I finally made my way to Wiesbaden last week to meet and hang out!

We had such a great time playing dress up. The idea of taking each others pictures was always in the mix but we wanted to make sure that we were adding an element that would be different from the normal shoots that we do so we decided on a theme. She had a cowboy hat and I had the boots so I offered to be a cowboy and then insisted that she go with more of an indian influenced outfit.

In preparation for my road trip (Wiesbaden is about an hour away from my house) I packed a ton of random wardrobe items as well as all of my jewelry and makeup. Chanell is gorgeous so it didn’t surprise me at all when she said she “didn’t really wear makeup”. (of course. the gorgeous one’s don’t have to!) We spent forever picking out our outfits and getting ready (this was half the fun) and then she took me out to a really cool spot to take pictures. It’s an equestrian course so there were a few horses around as well as an orchard right next to it. There was a great view too!

She shoots Nikon! So she let me play with her 85mm (which is on my Christmas list) and she even let me play with some of her studio stuff at the end of the night so I could get a feel for it.

We had dinner in the shopping district in Wiesbaden. Trying to fit my big honker of a car in and out of those small parking lots was a chore but the down town area was really cool. I can’t wait to get back there and do some more shots in that area.

It was such a treat to be able to hang out with Chanell and I got some great pictures out of it as well. You can view her work and the shots she got of me on her blog
