I love holiday weekends..and this one is definitely one for the books. I somehow managed to catch up with all of my friends, eat more than enough hot dogs, and play with fire. Win, win, win!
We started the day off with the colonial fair at Fort Morris. Those of you who know me well, know I “don’t play”. I’m just not a fan of games, which would make a colonial fair probably the worst location for me to hang out. It was mostly 17th century games and a lot of people in wayyy to much clothing for the muggy weather. I kind of felt sorry for them…except for I showed that by taking pictures of each and every one of them. The other thing you may not know about me is that I love costumes..and this made the colonial fair right up my alley!
I really enjoyed all of the firings as well! There were muskets and cannons that made lots of fierce noise and this is probably one of the only days of the year that I love to hear a great big BOOM!
After the fair we joined our friends over at Matt and Heathers house for some BBQ and fireworks. We had lots of fun lighting weird fireworks like the pooping puppy and playing with sparklers.
The best part of this weekend is that I had a full weekend of fun, and still had today to recuperate and prepare for the week ahead! I hope your weekend was as successful as mine! Here’s some more fireworks pictures…consider it my grand finale!
