Since the moment I found out about Savannah’s Fashion Night, I have been itching to be a part of it somehow. Connect Savannah gave me that opportunity by letting me represent them and I used it to my full advantage!

The whole night revolves around local shops on Broughton Street or around town that set up shop for the night to show off their new fall merchandise on the runway as well as on the street. Two runways bookended Broughton Street and the whole place was filled with fashion forward people who were out to see the newest trends and maybe start one themselves!

I went early and grabbed a bite to eat at VinnieVanGoGo‘s with my friend Heather and then together we headed through the shops and spotted some good deals! Most of the shops had great sales going on and Heather found herself a pair of turquoise studded wedges from Lucy Lu’s that she couldn’t pass up at 50% off!

I took her to my favorite shops, including the newest, the Kate Spade store that just opened up.

We ran into some other friends and they joined us in time to see some street artists who were actually participating in a silent auction! We also got a kick out of all of the live models in the boutique windows.

With runway shows going on every hour, there was something for everyone with participating retailers from Goodwill to Marc by Marc Jacobs! I took so many photos, and believe me when I say, I wasn’t the only fashion “faux”tographer there! I had to laugh at the amount of people trying to get “the shot”! I met some SCAD students as well some hotshots, all there to grab some pictures of the energy all around us.

This was my favorite article of clothing that I saw all night. I think I’m ready for fall…and this herringbone sweater is exactly how I want to “fall” into the season! What are your season staples?

As much as I would have loved to stay there alllll night long, the party ends early for someone who has an hour drive home. The last treat of the night was finding out that by chance, I had parked in one of the parking garages off Broughton that was offering $2 parking for the evening! How great is that?!

My feet are killing me today from walking/dancing up and down Savannah streets (thanks to some awesome dj’s!), but don’t kid yourself, I am already planning my outfit for next years Savannah’s Fashion Night Out!
